Screeners can be supplied open or fully enclosed to contain dust and prevent contamination in either direction. Configurations include finger decks, industrial screens and sieves, and single or multi-deck arrangements, in mild steel or stainless steel.

Mogensen vibrating screens handle varied material types, high tonnage throughputs and demanding separation requirements. From a compact vibro screener for light dosing work to a multi-deck unit running around the clock in a quarry, the range covers three duties.
Effective quality screening with a cost-conscious approach. Normally single or double deck units, suited to applications from animal feed to recycling. Available fully open, or enclosed to contain dust and protect the product. Linear (twin vibrator motor) and rotary (single vibrator drive) configurations available.
Higher capacities, wear liners and multi-deck configurations built for demanding production schedules. These units suit aggregates and other high-volume, abrasive materials. Screen deck options include wire mesh, poly decks and rubber mats, matched to the wear characteristics of the material.
Where a standard configuration will not achieve the separation, our engineers design the screen around the material: its size distribution, moisture, temperature and how it needs to arrive at the next stage of the process. Widths from 0.2m to 3m accommodate most throughputs, with single or double lengths to support screening efficiency.

Deck media is selected for the material, not by habit. The right mesh and tensioning protect screening efficiency over the life of the machine and keep maintenance predictable.

The material. Size distribution, moisture, temperature and abrasiveness decide the screen type and deck media. Damp, sticky materials may need rubber-edged meshes or heated decks. Abrasive aggregates need wear liners and heavier construction.
The separation. A single cut point suits a single deck machine. Several product grades point to a multi-deck screen or sizer. Linear, circular and inclined vibrating screen configurations each suit different combinations of accuracy, capacity and material behaviour.
The throughput. Tonnes per hour, surge patterns and feed arrangement all affect sizing. A screen fed evenly performs measurably better, which is why a spreader feeder is often specified alongside.
The site. Dust control, hygiene requirements, headroom and maintenance access all shape the design, from open frames to fully enclosed stainless steel units.

A multi deck vibrating screen separates material into several product grades in a single pass. Mogensen units run from single deck up to five decks, producing up to six sized products at once, with separations from 1mm up to 100mm and beyond.
For hard, sticky or difficult materials, the Mogensen Sizer takes the same multi-deck principle further. Layered short decks with progressively smaller apertures size material faster and in a smaller footprint than a conventional screen. For accurate splits across several grades, in salt, glass cullet, recycled aggregates or fertiliser, the sizer range is usually the right starting point.

A vibrating screen separates materials by size by passing them across a vibrating deck fitted with mesh or perforated plate. The vibration, created by either a twin-motor linear drive or a single-motor circular drive, moves material along the deck so undersize particles fall through the apertures while oversize passes over the end. Stacking several decks lets one machine produce multiple size grades in a single pass.
A vibrating screen, or screener, separates and classifies bulk materials by particle size, either to make a single clean product or several finished grades. They are used across many industries, from light duty work such as animal feed and recycling to heavy duty aggregate and high-wear materials. A vibrating screen can range from a single deck up to several stacked decks, and each deck adds one more size separation. Where a large number of separations is required from one machine, a multi-deck sizer can produce up to seven fractions.
The number of decks sets how many products a screen makes. A single deck splits material into two fractions, oversize and undersize. The right choice depends on the number of grades and the throughput required.
Vibrating screens can be fitted with several types of deck media, including woven wire mesh, polyurethane decks and rubber mats, as well as perforated plate and finger decks. Meshes can be end or side tensioned, and rubber-edged meshes are often used so fine material does not escape at the edges. The best deck type depends on the material, the cut size, and how abrasive or sticky the product is.
Vibrating screens typically handle particle sizing from around 1mm up to 100mm and above, depending on the material and the deck configuration. Widths commonly range from around 0.2m to 3m, with longer decks used to improve screening efficiency and throughput. For very fine or very high-tonnage separations, a probability sizer is often more effective than a conventional screen.
A linear screen uses two contra-rotating vibrator motors to create a straight-line motion that moves material steadily along the deck, which suits higher throughput and multi-deck duties. A circular or rotary screen uses a single vibrator drive to create a circular motion, which is well suited to lighter duty screening and de-watering. The choice of motion depends on the material and the output required.
There is no fixed capacity, because throughput depends on the screen width and length, the number of decks, the mesh apertures and the material being screened. Capacity is normally calculated from the required tonnes per hour, the feed size distribution and the target cut points. As a guide, wider and longer screens with the right mesh handle higher tonnages, but the material properties have a large effect.
